A Casa

This was the first place we tried in Santa Luzia, in a really, really hot summer day. We treated ourselves to delicious cold dishes, octopus and "estupeta de atum" (Algarve style salty tuna) salad. We enjoyed so much we keep returning year after year, multiple times during the summer. It really is an awesome place to have a light meal, or a feast. I've tried almost every dish in the menu and I'm yet to be disappointed.

The best grilled octopus in town, super much better that the most expensive restaruant in Santa Luzia( next door casa do polvo restaurant). Also the atmoshphere is very friendly. The quality of fresh seafood is amazing ( prawns, octopus, salmon, small grilled fish and cod - bacalhau). they use very good indegredients , even oil of olive from local factory is amazing- so good taste. Also desserts are very good. Very good quality to price.

I visited this restaurant on solo business trip along the spanish and portugese coastline, and it was a very very pleasant surprise. The staff is very kind, warm and young, they offered me a very good table although I was alone, and served me wonderful sea food cooked in traditional way. They also have a good portugese wine selection. The prices were very reasonable, the location right next to wild nature of Tavira. The following week, I picked my friends at Lisbon airport, but as I kept on talking about Tavira and the restaurant, we drived all the way down just to spend an afternoon there, and the food here was again very good. Simple food, very warm hospitality, cosy fisherman’s restaurant, very reasonable prices (per Person it was even below 20 Eur). That is the way to mark a memory in people’s life, they live in our memories with their kindness, food, and hospitality…
